Details of minimum eligibility and other information

Minimum Qualifications for requirement to the post of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and other non-teaching posts Advertised in the Times of India (Ascent) dated 26.10.2016

Qualification’s for FACULTY POSITIONS will be as laid down by the University Grants Commission (UGC)/ AICTE / COA and as adopted by the University, from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications for teaching faculty in Finance, Marketing, Operation Management, Quantitative Technique, Human Resource Management, Travel & Tourism Management, Journalism & Mass Communication, Applied Art, Sanskrit, Philosophy, Yoga, Architecture & Agriculture.

Professors

a. An eminent scholar with PhD qualification(s) in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.

b. A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college, and/or experience in research at the University/National level institutions/industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.

c. Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – mediated teaching learning process.

d. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) set out in this Regulation.

OR

An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.

NB: In certain disciplines the qualification & experience will be prescribed as per the guidelines of UGC and or Statutory bodies.

Associate Professors

a. Good academic record with a PhD Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.

b. A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).

c. A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of PhD research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.

d. Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.

e. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in this Regulation.

Assistant Professors

a. Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

b. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

c. Candidates, who are, or have been awarded a PhD Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of PhD Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.

d. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

CURRENT OPENINGS – Administrative Positions

Assistant Registrar (Examination)

Position requires the ability to manage all examination work (conduct of examinations, result preparation, certificate and degree preparation) and meet required due dates and time lines.

Essential Qualifications:
i. Master Degree with at least 55% of marks or its equivalent grade of “B” in the UGC seven point scale along with a good academic record.
ii. At least three years’ experience in supervisory or equivalent cadre in a Group “B” post related to examination work of University / Educational Institution along with proven administrative capabilities.

Desirable Qualifications:
a. LLB or MBA or MCA
b. Knowledge of higher education policies and regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office products particularly Word, Excel and Access.
c. The incumbent should possess good communication and analytical skills and aptitude for drafting/noting in English. Should be able to coordinate / liaise with other divisions/departments and participate in discussion with senior functionaries and academicians.

Admissions Department

Admissions Officer

MBA / Graduate with good communication skills (Written & Verbal) should be well versed with MS Office and overall computer operations. Preferably worked in an Educational institution of repute and have hands on experience of handling Admission Processes, Branding & Event Management in Educational Institute.

KRA:
1. Taking care of all lead management software updation
2. Replying to all emails
3. Scheduling interviews and exams
4. Sending Provisional Offer letters
5. Taking full charge of at least 3 courses

General Instructions & Essential Information

a. The university reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post at any time without assigning any reason. The right is also reserved with the university either to fill or not to fill any or all the posts and its decision in this regard shall be final.

b. Mere eligibility will not entitle any candidate for being called for interview.

c. The university reserves its right to place reasonable limits on the total number of candidates to be called for interview.

d. Stringent criteria may be applied for short listing the candidates to be called for interview.

e. Minimum requirements of qualifications and / or experience can be relaxed in respect of exceptionally qualified candidates by the screening / selection committee with the approval of the Vice Chancellor.

f. Higher initial pay may be given to exceptionally qualified and deserving candidates.

g. Applicants not found suitable for higher positions may be considered for lower positions in the same area of specialisation.

h. The process of selection may be by a written test/ presentation / interview or a combination thereof.

i. The application duly filled in the prescribed form must reach the office of the Vice Chancellor on or before 15th November 2016 (Non- Teaching Positions) & 30th November 2016 (Teaching Positions).

j. The applicants serving in Government / Semi-Government organisations / Public Sector undertakings / Autonomous organisations must send their applications through proper channel. Applications received without the recommendations of the employers will not be considered. However, an advance copy of such an application may be sent followed by the original application through proper channel.

k. Candidates shall have to produce original documents at the time of appearing in interview.

l. The candidates called for interview shall be paid up to 3 AC rail fare. (Only applicable for Teaching Positions & Assistant Registrar (Examinations) position.

m.
