Faculty of Commerce & Management Studies (UG)

  • As corporations grow larger and more complex, as government regulations become more pervasive, and national and international firms compete for markets – the principles and techniques in business become more critical for success. FCMS (UG) strives to develop in its students an understanding of nature of modern business, including an awareness of emerging business and the constraints within those opportunities. It requires students to apply analytical skills developed in the study of general education to real business situations The courses are designed to provide students with a sound understanding of business functions.
The Faculty of Commerce & Management Studies offers four undergraduate programmers:
  • Bachelor of Business Administration – (BBA), delivers management education to educate students to be effective and socially responsible managers.
  • Bachelor of Commerce (Vocation) in Travel and Tourism, B.Com.(Voc.) -Travel & Tourism, an outcome – based degree which aims at creating job-ready professionals. Here regular industrial visits and tours for hands on experience and up-gradation of skills are being conducted.
  • Bachelor of Vocation in Retail Management – B.Voc. (Retail Management), a degree where students are imparted with a high level of knowledge and understanding of the concepts and processes involved in retailing.
  • A BBA gets you entry-level positions in many corporates and industries. You would be able to provide back end support services to your seniors.
  • After completion of B.Com.(Voc.)-Travel & Tourism degree, you can pursue a career as customer service manager, event manager, holiday representative, hotel manager, marketing executive, outdoor activities/education manager, travel agency manager, tour manager, tourism officer, tourist information center manager.
  • After completion of B.Voc. (Retail Management), you can get an exposure in the retail industry which has businesses such as departmental stores, shopping malls and brand outlets.
