Subject Expertise

Dr. Tripathi started his career as an academic teaching General Linguistics at the Lucknow Christian PG College, Lucknow, and later moved to Odisha where he served in different Management institutes like ASBM, IMIS, and Srusti Academy. He was serving at Silicon Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar, one of the leading private engineering colleges in Odisha, before joining the University in November 2016. He also served the Govt. of India from 2003 to 2007.

Over the years, he has taught and trained hundreds of students in Communication Skills, at both Post-Graduate and Under-Graduate level. In most of his courses, he focuses on practical skill development using innovative teaching and training techniques. He has successfully conducted many Personality Development programmes and Proficiency in French courses for students in last couple of years. He also strongly believes that teaching and learning go hand-in-hand and these processes should foster the creative thinking of students.

Other Accomplishments

Dr. Tripathi has research interests in Discourse Analysis, Anthropological Linguistics, and English Language Teaching. He specializes in Systemic-Functional Linguistics and has significantly contributed to this area by undertaking research involving application of the Systemic Functional framework for analyzing and interpreting Vedic texts in English. He also has keen interest in Ramakrishna- Vivekananda literature. A Life Member of the Systemic Functional Linguistics Association and the Linguistic Society of India. He has presented papers in a number of national and international conferences.
