BFA Painting
The BFA in Painting equips students with a strong foundation in essential artistic skills, including drawing, painting, and colour theory, using multiple mediums and methods. Our students are also immersed in contemporary and interdisciplinary art practices. Through research-led studio work, critical inquiry, and creative experimentation, they develop the technical mastery, conceptual insight, and innovative thinking required to excel as professional artists in a dynamic creative landscape.

- Core area: Drawing, Portraiture and model study, Landscape/ outdoor painting, colour theory, Method and medium, composition, Miniature, Folk, and modern art, Indian and Western Art, Abstract, conceptual art and visual studies.
- Advanced practice: Advance context-based composition, Mixed media, Installation Art, Interdisciplinary art.
- Art History & Theory: Critical study from classical painting traditions to contemporary global art movements.
- Creative Development: Emphasis on experimentation, aesthetics, conceptual thinking, and innovation.
- Industry Exposure: Workshops, gallery visits, exhibitions, and collaborations with art institutions.
- Research Component: Studio-based research, thematic investigations, and documentation of creative processes.
- Digital & Tools Training: Integration of digital media, portfolio development, and contemporary art technologies.
- Portfolio Preparation: Guidance for professional exhibitions, residencies, and higher studies.

On successful completion of the BFA Painting program, graduates will be able to:
