BFA Sculpture
The BFA in Sculpture nurtures artistic vision through hands-on mastery of clay modelling, stone and wood carving, metal and fiber casting, relief and outdoor sculpture, 3D assemblage, installation, and conceptual art. With a strong focus on material exploration, research-led practice, and critical thinking, the program empowers students to create impactful works that engage space, society, and contemporary discourse, preparing them for dynamic careers in art, design, public spaces, and creative industries.
Course Features
- Core Areas: Clay modelling, stone and wood carving, metal and fiber casting, assemblage, and relief sculpture.
- Advanced Practices: Outdoor sculpture, installation art, site-specific works, Public Art and conceptual sculpture.
- Material Exploration: Hands-on training in traditional, industrial, and alternative sculptural materials.
- Design & Visualization: Development of spatial thinking, form studies, and three-dimensional visualization skills.
- Art History & Theory: Study of classical to contemporary sculpture with critical and contextual analysis.
- Research Orientation: Emphasis on artistic research, experimentation, documentation, and concept development.
