BFA Textile Art & Design
The BFA in Textile Art & Design blends India’s rich textile heritage, including tie-dye, batik, kalamkari, weaving, and tapestry, with contemporary design thinking. Through immersive hands-on training, students master fashion illustration, surface and Fashion & costume design, sustainable practices, and industry-relevant skills such as CAD, smart textiles, and emerging design trends, preparing them for creative careers in the dynamic global textile and fashion industry.
Course Features
- Core Subjects: Explore textile art through a blend of traditional and modern techniques, colour theory, Textile Dyeing, Fashion Design studies and material experimentation.
- Advance Design Skills: Pattern making, print design, Fashion Design, tapestry, embroidery, weaving, and digital textile design.
- Art History & Theory: Study of classical to contemporary textile and fashion trends, with critical and contextual analysis.
