The curriculum is designed to develop clinical competence through:
- Foundations of Shalyatantra and surgical ethics
- Anatomy and physiology of the anorectal region
- Ayurvedic and modern pharmacology relevant to proctology
- Diagnostic procedures and clinical investigations
- Management of hemorrhoids, fistula, fissure, abscess, anal stricture, and anorectal prolapse
- Ayurvedic para-surgical procedures including Ksharasutra therapy and Kshara Karma
- Operative and non-operative treatment approaches
- Postoperative care and patient management
Assessment includes semester examinations, clinical case evaluation, practical assessments, and viva examinations.
