She is specialized in the field of host plant resistance, IPM, induced resistance through exogenous application of Si, Zn in rice and has experience in molecular aspects of induced resistance during her PG research. She has published 14 research papers in various International and National journals indexed in SCOPUS/WoS/SCI/UGC-CARE/NAAS, 19 popular articles and presented papers in 17 National Workshop/Seminar/Symposia/conferences. As a part of the capacity building and skill upgradation program, she has attended 15 webinars/ Faculty Development Programs/ skill development programs. Presently at SSU, she is involved in offering various UG courses to students such as fundamentals of crop protection, integrated pest management, insect pests of vegetables, ornamental and spice crops, management of beneficial insects, introduction to major field crops, etc. She has a special interest in pursuing research in the induction of host plant resistance against major pests of field crops utilizing advanced molecular tools, organic farming, and studies on beneficial insects. Besides, the use of smart teaching methodology, designing of course curriculum, and development of user-friendly e-contents are a few other areas of interest. She has acclaimed many awards and recognition during her career such as University Gold Medal and Dr.Bhagirathi Senapati Memorial Gold Medal for her academic excellence during M.Sc.(Ag) studies. She has been awarded Best Oral Paper Presentation Award by Society for Plant Protection and Environment in 2016 and 2018. She has been the recipient of INSPIRE FELLOWSHIP of DST-GOI, New Delhi for pursuing Ph.D. in Entomology, University Merit Scholarship of OUAT for M.Sc. (Ag.) Entomology and other scholarships throughout her academic career. She has been recognized as a reviewer in a few peer-reviewed journals.
