I found the campus quite beautiful and serene. Around here, it is a different kind of experience. It is away from hustle and bustle of city near Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. If you want to do meditation or spend some time to do some serious work like writing, thinking, contemplating, this is a wonderful place.

I was really impressed by the management and the things they said which I was recollecting all my way back and which will remain with me all my life.

Odisha, the chosen venue for HORIZON 2025, brings a refreshing and meaningful dimension to the conference—one that goes far beyond logistics. With its timeless temples, rich heritage, and breathtaking natural beauty, the state offers a setting that’s both inspiring and grounding. From the spiritual calm of Puri to the architectural brilliance of Konark and the vibrant life in Bhubaneswar, every corner of Odisha tells a story. The capital city, a seamless blend of tradition and modernity, is rapidly growing into a hub for education and healthcare, making it a thoughtful and fitting host for a national-level academic gathering like HORIZON.
Participants attending HORIZON 2025 in Odisha will have a wonderful opportunity to experience the state’s rich and diverse tourism offerings alongside their academic engagement. Odisha is a treasure trove of history, nature, spirituality, and art. Participants can explore iconic sites like the Sun Temple at Konark, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its stunning architecture, or visit the Jagannath Temple in Puri, a sacred pilgrimage site that draws millions each year.
Cultural enthusiasts can immerse themselves in Odisha’s vibrant traditions by witnessing Odissi dance performances, exploring artisan villages like Raghurajpur, or shopping for intricate silver filigree work and handwoven ikat textiles. The state also offers a rich culinary landscape, with authentic Odia cuisine such as dalma, a variety of pithas, and the delectable chhena poda that participants can relish. Whether seeking adventure, spirituality, or artistic inspiration, Odisha promises an enriching experience beyond the conference walls.
To further enhance the cultural experience, attendees can visit Dhauli Giri, located just a short drive from Bhubaneswar. This historic site marks the place where Emperor Ashoka is believed to have embraced Buddhism after the bloody Kalinga War. The Shanti Stupa (Peace Pagoda) at Dhauli, with its tranquil setting and panoramic views, offers a moment of peace and reflection amidst the conference schedule.
Another must-see landmark is the Lingaraj Temple, one of the finest examples of Kalinga architecture and a deeply revered shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated in the heart of Bhubaneswar, this 11th-century temple is a living testimony to Odisha’s architectural and spiritual legacy. Its towering spire, intricate stone carvings, and vibrant rituals provide a fascinating glimpse into the state’s sacred traditions.
Together, these sites underscore why Odisha is not just a conference location, but a destination that invites exploration, introspection, and discovery.
