Sri Sri University (SSU) is honoured to welcome Padma Shri Smt. Hema Malini Ji, a legendary film personality, accomplished classical dancer, and a revered cultural icon, to our campus for an exclusive academic session titled “Echoes of an Era: Hema Malini Reflects on Her Iconic Films and Timeless Artistry.” As a premier institution committed to the preservation and promotion of India’s artistic and intellectual heritage, SSU takes immense pride in providing a platform for meaningful dialogue between distinguished artists and the academic community. This special event, organized by the Faculty of Arts, Communication, and Indic Studies (FACIS), will celebrate Smt. Hema Malini Ji’s remarkable contributions to Indian cinema and classical arts, offering invaluable insights into her illustrious career.

During her visit on 13th March 2025, Smt. Hema Malini Ji will engage in an interactive session with the university leadership, faculty, and students, sharing her artistic journey, experiences in the film industry, and the significance of classical dance in her life. The event will also include an Odissi dance performance by students of the Performing Arts Department, followed by an enriching discussion with the President of SSU Prof. Rajita Kulkarni and Dean of FACIS Prof. Guru Ratikant Mohapatra. This visit underscores SSU’s dedication to fostering artistic excellence and interdisciplinary learning, inspiring the next generation to embrace the confluence of tradition and modernity in the realm of performing arts.
