• Dr. Vandana Shiva is a highly respected environmentalist, activist, and scholar, known for her lifelong commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture and protecting biodiversity. She has been at the forefront of the global movement for ecological sustainability and social justice for several decades and has made significant contributions to the fields of environmental science, sustainable development, and feminist activism. Dr. Shiva is the founder of Navdanya, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting seed sovereignty, organic farming, and biodiversity conservation in India and around the world. She is also the author of several influential books and articles, including “Stolen Harvest: The Hijacking of the Global Food Supply” and “Earth Democracy: Justice, Sustainability, and Peace”. Dr. Shiva is a recipient of numerous awards and honors, including the Right Livelihood Award (also known as the “Alternative Nobel Prize”) and the Sydney Peace Prize, for her tireless work to defend the rights of farmers, indigenous peoples, and the environment. With her deep understanding of the interconnectedness of ecological, social, and economic issues, Dr. Vandana Shiva is a respected leader and an inspiration to many in the global environmental movement.
