It is a great pleasure to announce that Sri Sri University is organizing the 47th Annual Conference of Indian Association of Biomedical Scientists (IABMS), from 26 to 28 November 2026.
The theme of the conference is:

The aim is to provide a platform for students, researchers, academicians, and industry professionals to share recent advances in biomedical and health sciences.
The conference seeks to promote interdisciplinary collaboration, knowledge exchange, and partnerships that drive innovation in diagnostics and therapeutics.
It brings together diverse stakeholders to foster meaningful discussions and future research directions.

IABMS was formed in the year 1979, with Head Office at Dr. A.L.M. Postgraduate Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, University of Madras, Taramani Campus, Chennai.
The acclaimed neurosurgeon, Prof. Dr. B. Ramamurthy was the first President, and Prof. Dr. S. Sarada Subramanyam, a renowned Physiologist was the first General Secretary of IABMS.
IABMS is a pan-Indian organization and has grown enormously in the last four decades.
Though IABMS had started with a modest bunch of individuals in 1979, presently the number of life members of IABMS is more than 1500.
The association recognizes outstanding contributions of individuals in the field of science and has established several awards that are given during their annual conference.
IABMS has an official organ of publication of scientific papers related to biomedical research and the title of the journal is ‘BIOMEDICINE’.

The contents of abstract should include:

The title should be in capital and in bold followed by name of authors (with first name first, then middle name followed by family name) and their institutional address along with the email address of the corresponding author.
Do not append degrees, professional designations, etc. to names.
The name of presenting author should be underlined.
The abstract should be typed using Microsoft Word:
Abbreviations used in the body of an abstract should be defined at their first mention in the text.

Abstract will be considered for publication only if the presenting author has registered for the conference.
Normally only one paper is allowed per author, unless prior permission of organizers is taken.
If an abstract is accepted and presenter does not register, the abstract will be withdrawn.

Accepted abstracts will be published in the indexed peer review journal as a part of special issues.
Considering the fact that the conference will be held in a Physical mode, the guidelines pertaining to both oral and poster presentation are explained in detail in the conference website.

Awards No. 2, 3, 4 & 5 are based on original work conducted preferably in India and it should not have been published or considered for publication in any journal at the time of submitting it for IABMS awards.
The registered delegates would be entitled for:
Registration for the conference is mandatory for participation in the workshop.
Student delegates should produce a bonafide certificate from their institute.
Honoring outstanding scientific contributions and excellence in biomedical research with prestigious national and memorial awards.
Awards for the best poster and oral presentations will be given to young researchers as per IABMS guidelines.
Few travel awards shall also be given to deserving students and young faculty members as per IABMS guidelines.
Only the life members of IABMS are eligible for the award of the title of FIABMS.
The process for application involves sending an application to the General Secretary, IABMS.
