Learning is a very interesting phenomenon. What begins in childhood and continues for the rest of our lives in different ways. At times, books and teachers become our companions in this journey, and shape our perceptions and knowledge of the world, at times, life itself becomes a medium of learning. For most of us, it remains an on-going process and it is the search for knowledge that leads the seeker to newer vistas.
One such is the world of language and literature, fascinating and ever-changing. It keeps on evolving, taking within its fold, newer shades of life, as they come. From the earliest times when nascent thoughts found expression in words, to most recent, when technology has almost become a way of life, it encompasses everything, and yet, it offers us something new, as always.
At the School of Languages & Social Sciences, our programmes have been uniquely designed to equip students of the 21st Century not only with knowledge, but also the necessary skills which prepare them to take on the challenges with confidence and conviction. Going beyond the usual academic rigour, we foster creative thinking skills in our students and encourage them to take up a number of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary courses offered by experts.
