Sri Sri Students Excel in ‘Start-up Campaign’

At least seven “Startup” ideas displayed by students of the Sri Sri University here made it to the top 75 from a pool of 3,600 ideas, which were received under the Startup India-Odisha Yatra, making the private university, the only one in the State, having won the maximum entries. This was informed by the university in a release here on Monday.

Invest India and the State MSME Department had organised a week-long campaign called “Startup Week” from February 15 to 22 this year as part of an initiative by the State Government to attract best Startup ideas from the State’s students. Nearly 3,600 ideas were displayed by over 10,000 students from across the State.

The campaign gave an opportunity to the budding talents to display their entrepreneurial skills before top industries.

It also gave an opportunity to the students to interact with the industries and equip themselves with the requirements of the industries.

The Sri Sri University had displayed before the industries as many 75 ideas, out of which seven received appreciations from experts.

The State Government would provide seed funds, scholarships and mentoring facilities to the students whose ideas have been selected.

These students now earn the tickets to display their ideas at national level before the Union Government’s Startup India and Standup India.

The selected ideas of the university include ‘Krushaco’ that connects farmers with experts in the supply chain process, ‘YogicIndia’, a venture that aims at bringing all facets of yoga under one roof in urban localities.

It also includes ‘Miraculous Bio-Cleaner-Essence of Heaven’ that aims to bring goodness of yoga to corporate sectors as well as the idea ‘Procusa’, an online job portal, in which the users can post their video resumes.
