Emerging art and it’s scope

Art is an expansive field, comprising multiple disciplines, however, it has never gained as much popularity as a career prospect as much it is today.

As per some prolific writers, the idea of fine art was invented sometime in the early modern period in the west. Larry  Shiner in his book: “The Invention of Art: A Cultural History “finds the invention of art in the 18th century. But it is only now for the past few decades, it has gained popularity in the form of a career path.

According to Aristotle ”the main aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but also their inward significance”.

In today’s world, creativity has found its place with the economy. Employers want candidates who can flex the right side of their brains. That is to say, those who can think out of the box and are not run of the mill, These are the ones that catch the attention of the employer. Performing arts & visual arts teaches new ways of seeing, thinking and making. They lend a different perspective on things.
