Prof (Mrs.) Rajita Kulkarni, the President of Sri Sri University, visited the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore on March 17, 2023, to attend the court meeting and commemoration of the 100th year of the installation of the statue of J.N. Tata. The statue is a bronze statue of JN Tata holding a replica of the main building in his hand. The memorial was shipped in parts to India from England. It was unveiled on 10 March 1922 by the Maharaja of Mysore, Krishnaraja Wadiyar. The court meeting was held to discuss the progress of the institute and its future plans. The commemoration was held to celebrate the legacy of J.N. Tata and his philanthropy that shaped IISc’s growth. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Mr. N Chandrasekaran, the President of the IISc Court, and Mr. Kris Gopalakrishnan, the Chair of the IISc Council. Prof (Mrs.) Rajita Kulkarni also addressed the court and spoke about the importance of philanthropy in education and research.
