On 19 Feb, a group of students from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) at Sri Sri University had the chance to visit JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd and gain invaluable insights into the latest trends and practices in the cement industry. The visit was designed to provide students with a hands-on learning experience and allowed them to interact with industry experts, gaining a deeper understanding of the operations and management of a cement manufacturing unit. In addition to observing the day-to-day functioning of the plant, the students were also briefed on the key challenges faced by the industry and the measures taken to overcome them. This practical supplement to the theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom provided the students with a more comprehensive understanding of the industry, preparing them for future roles in the field. By observing and learning from experienced professionals, the students were able to develop their skills and expertise, making them well-equipped to handle the challenges of the industry. The visit also served as an excellent networking opportunity for the students, allowing them to build relationships with industry professionals and potentially opening doors for future career opportunities.
