The Animation Programme explores the scholarly and practical study of the vibrant realms of animation and visual effects. Designed for aspiring artists and storytellers, our program provides a comprehensive platform to delve into the intricacies of this captivating craft.

The BFA-Animation Programme offers a four-year degree course with specialization in “Animation & VFX”. This program is structured keeping the latest industry trends and requirements in view.

Graduating students shall be able to work in Animation and Visual Effects Studios, Video Game development studios, and Film Post Production Companies.

Students are also trained and encouraged to plan and establish their own start-up studios catering to the high demand art-related requirements on digital platforms.

Besides the core courses specific to each specialization, students are given to take up interdisciplinary subjects during their study, such as Photography and Digital Filmmaking, etc.

Students get guidance in developing their Art Portfolios and showcase them in a professional way to create a strong presence on social media and other Art related platforms such as Behance and Art Station, etc.

A Capstone Project is included in the final year which gives students the opportunity to work on live projects from the industry.

The placement cell supports students get internship opportunities in the last semester. Students undergo a four-month-long internship in a studio where they get hands-on training in a studio environment and professional collaborative work experience.

    1. 3D Modeler: A 3D modeler creates three-dimensional models of characters, objects, or environments using specialized software like Maya or Blender. They might work in industries such as film, gaming, or product design, creating assets that are realistic, stylized, or fantastical, depending on the project’s requirements.
    2. 3D Animator: 3D animators breathe life into characters and objects by creating movement sequences. They work closely with storyboard artists and directors to understand the narrative and emotional beats of a scene, ensuring that movements are fluid, expressive, and believable.
    3. Video Editor: Video editors assemble raw footage into a cohesive and engaging final product. They might work on editing together rendered sequences, adding sound effects, music, and dialogue, and ensuring that the pacing and timing of the visuals align with the story’s beats.

They use software like Nuke, Fusion & Adobe After Effects to adjust lighting, color, and atmosphere, ensuring that all elements appear as though they belong in the same scene.
    6. Motion Graphics Artist: Motion graphics artists create animated graphics and visual effects for various media, including film, television, websites, and advertisements. They might design title sequences, animated logos, or informational graphics, using software like Adobe After Effects, Fusion, Houdini, 3DS Max, Blender etc.
    7. Concept Artist: Concept artists create visual representations of ideas, environments, characters, or objects during the pre-production phase of a project. They often work closely with directors, writers, and producers to develop the visual style and aesthetic of a film, animation, or video game.
